Newark Scout and Guide Gang Show Reunion

Newark District Scout and Guide Gang Show last took to the stage at the Palace Theatre in December 1989 so this year will mark the 30th anniversary of the very last show.

It started 44 years ago in 1975 following the guest appearance of Ralph Reader, the founder of the London Gang Shows at the reopening of the Palace as a theatre in 1974.   Over the 8 shows between 1975 and 1989 in excess of 1000 Cub Scouts, Scouts, Guides Leaders and members of School Orchestras took part.

Now, 30 years on, they are in their late 40’s and upwards and sadly some are no longer with us. In response to a great deal of interest on social media we are organising a Gang Show reunion on February 8th 2020 to mark the anniversary.
